From Sue and Mark’s first consultation with us to discuss menu style and possibilities, until the last dish and glass were washed and put away at the end of a long Wedding day, their utter professionalism, skill, talent and attention to detail shone through.
Having a wedding at home as we did, while providing a relaxed and familiar environment, can also be quite fraught. Creating the right ambience is a skill Sue lent her many talents and calm presence to assisting with table setting and superb food presentation, to making our delicious cake and ensuring the smooth running of the entire day.
Having a skilled and experienced chef arrive to cook our carefully planned menu was a real luxury. The meat, fish, and produce were organically sourced which was a thoughtful consideration we hadn’t actually requested. We had several guests with very specific food allergies, and these were expertly and discretely accommodated much to the delight of those guests. Mark’s food was superb, and we had many people contact us to say how much they enjoyed it…. everything cooked to perfection with a delicious array of flavours to balance the menu. The mobile kitchen is a marvel and can only be described as the ‘Tardis’! It is a mystery how so much hot food came out of such a small place to be delivered on cue when required.
As part of their service, ‘Focus on Food’ provided 2 waitstaff who were excellent; professional, knowledgeable about the food and wine and charming.
